PACKAGING - PRESS KITS
Working with the team at Syfy, I got to create various collateral pieces promoting their latest original series Resident Alien. Included, were two custom press kit mailers which were sent out leading up to the show premiere. Both were positioned as in-world experiences—sent from establishments in the fictional town of Patience, Colorado.
The first is a trivia event kit sent from The 59, the town’s local watering hole. The name is inspired by the story of “The 59” miners who risked their lives to save one man who was trapped in a collapsing mine shaft. The kit includes a custom etched pint glass, pizza gift card, and snacks to enjoy while participating in a press trivia event.
The second kit includes a customized fleece sent from Outsider Trading Co. and is inspired by the mountainous terrain of the Colorado Rockies. Harry, the main character, is also an “outsider” as an alien in disguise trying to blend in as a member of the small community.
